(no subject)
It has been a frustrating week.
As I already posted, Wednesday's commute was quite an adventure-on-ice just getting out of the neighborhood (although it was fine after that). Didn't get in until about 11. Thursday's commute was frustrated by massive potholes on 495 between exits 28 and 29... resulting in a 1+ hour commute. And this morning's was slowed by a huge accident on 495 near Georgia Ave. 1+ hour again... ARGH.
In game has been kind of meh too. I felt so unaccomplished on Wednesday night. I did the quest to get the Mannequin Pumps, which is a nice piece, but that only required traveling to Tavnazia and Mhaura. Then I joined a random /sh party in Whitegate to do an Assault I haven't done before (I'm trying to snatch those up whenever I have a chance, since they're ALL required to eventually get Captain rank). Unfortunately, the leader could not find enough ppl, and disbanded after about half an hour of looking. >.< I stood in Al Zahbi in the meantime, and raised my Summoning Magic skill from 13 to 14 (the cap is 30 at level 10).
After that, I joined a random /sh party for Nyzul Isle 1 ~ 5. Yeah... big surprise, it did not go well. In fact we didn't even get past floor 1. It was a lamps floor (light them in order). I cannot understand how to do this one. People just kept getting aggro. They killed one or two at the start, then split up to find lamps. Yeah, I still had an imp on me which I graciously Lullaby'd off of someone. I kept re-sleeping it, but that made it hard for me to re-apply monomi/tonko and move around the map (unresisted Lullaby only lasts 30 seconds). Eventually someone killed it for me, but we were running out of time. At the very end I aggro'd this NM cactuar (the one that drops Kung Fu shoes? ) who resisted every single Lullaby I tried, and killed me. /sigh
I couldn't go to bed like that, so I went to Bastok [S] and did a few more of the crafting Campaign Ops. It was enough to push my COR to 52. -_-/
Thursday night I just did a bunch of miscellaneous Campaign Battles on DNC. Got about 7k XP all told, and ding'd 65. Xedrik joined me for part of it, which was nice.
I'm just feeling so sluggish this week... I want to get some stuff done!
