Tuesday night I returned to North Gustaberg [S] to solo SCH on the worms. It took me about 3 hours, but I managed to use up an Emperor band charge. Ding SCH37! Yay... I think I'm going to put this job on hold now, and either spend some time meriting or picking up COR or DNC again.
Last night, I went with Francis to attempt soloing the Fire in the Sky ENM. As usual, he won but I lost. -_- I came pretty close, but Razon killed me after my Convert. I started off once again with bad luck, as water happened to be his element of choice. So upon my first nuke, it already used Self-Destruct once. :( I switched to Stone II, and was making decent progress dealing damage. At around ~120 MP, with Razon at around 20% HP, I waited for it to hit me one more time to remove my last Utsusemi shadow. The instant that happened, I recast Utsusemi, and proceeded to Convert. (Critical flaw: I neglected to cancel/renew Stoneskin.) After that, I resumed lobbing Stone II's. Razon was down to about 5% ~ 10% HP, when he used a regular (not foggy, element-triggered) Self-Destruct, which wiped my freshly cast shadows and probably destroyed my Stoneskin or left it paper-thin. Razon then followed that up by scoring a critical melee hit against me, dealing 140+ damage and killing me instantly. -_- Mistake 1: Not renewing Stoneskin before Convert. Mistake 2: Not curing myself even a little bit after Convert. (Hey, Razon only had ~5% HP left! I thought it was over.)
Later on, Xedrik signed on so the three of us went to do BCNM20 Crustacean Conundrum, for my Mannequin Body piece. I was nervous going in, since I wasn't sure how tough it would be. We used the RDMx3 strategy, binding one Metal Crab and the Heavy Metal Crab, silencing the Heavy Metal Crab, and attackin the other Metal Crab. It worked perfectly! The two Metal Crabs went down amazingly fast, unable to withstand our Enthunder-powered attacks. The Heavy Metal took longer, and it managed to get several Waterga's off on us since my Silence wore too soon. Still, we had more than enough MP to cure ourselves and stay aloft. I got my Body piece, and ran around to Mhaura, Selbina, and San d'Oria to get the requisite cutscenes. JP midnight has now passed, so I should be able to pick up my mannequin tonight! Way to cheer me up after the ENM failure! :D
