Near a tree, by a river, there's a hole in the ground... *mumbles nonsense*

People who requested a fic in my last meme and didn't receive it yet: don't despair! You'll have it as soon as I can, I promise. At the moment I'm working on a very long, very tricky, very plotty new fic for a contest and the term is definitely TOO close for me to have time to divide my very incostant energies between different works. But you've not been forgotten.

(And I epically fail at life. Third person experiment = failed. Back to second person AGAIN. I'm a slave to this goddamn second person. Could somebody save me, please? *sigh*)

Thanks to snopes_faith and her mad music skillz, I finally know the author and title of a song that tortured me for AGES - that is, since I was 13 or so. The problem is, now I'm listening to it forever and it's starting to do strange things to my brain. The creepy video doesn't help. (Italian people will remember Gigi D'Agostino's techno version, that played everywhere and all the time when I was a cute little girl with no social skills. Like, yesterday?)

On another, random note, my Italian Literature course this year is about Dante Alighieri's Vita Nova and, of course, all the Divina Commedia AGAIN. I'm really, really tired of Dante Alighieri. I'm tired of studying all poetry and no prose because there's this stupid prejudice that poetry is more difficult (hence, nobler) than prose. (People who say this have NEVER ever tried to write a story, take my word for it.) I'm tired of my university living in the Middle Ages because it's all Dante, Dante, Dante. (And occasionally Petrarca.) Yeah, Dante's great. The greatest we ever had, probably. No arguing there. But there IS something else. It's so frustrating when no matter how much you study (in my case, I'll be honest, not so much) you always find yourself back to square one, doing the same things over and over. I'm really going to go crazy this year. This is no learning. This is psychological torture.

PS. The video IS really creepy. Like, Alice in Wonderland and The Riddler together is the creepiest thing ever. And is it just me or Kershaw looks just like a character out of A Clockwork Orange?
