Very well done. Glad to see that you finally took pity on me and my endless pleas for fresh writing in the Survivor world.
Beautiful characterisation throughout as ever. As mentioned elsewhere, I loved Peter's panicked attempts to bargain like a desperate child hoping for a new dog ("and I'd walk him evry day!") Very poignantly done because it shows how, like a child, how very little he actually has to bargain with.

I also liked very much the sense of doomed destiny that underscores this work, illustrated beautifully with that image of the souls of the butchered livestock haunting the loft. And of course, even more so with the parallel of the closing line of the animals unaware of their fate.

Well done again and, of course thank you!

*happy sigh* I so loved the Survivor-verse in May You Die With All Your Work Complete, so I was super-happy to see a new installment. These roles fit Nathan and Peter perfectly; they're just so gloriously impeded by their environment. So lovely.

Thanks! This was insanely hard to write. The reason why I scrupulously avoid writing first times is that I really am puzzled about how to pass from no-sex to sex, and that KILLS me XDD
Anyway, I'm happy you liked it. This universe hurts me every time, maybe that's why I love writing it this much.

I'm so happy to see more in this universe, it has such a unique voice to it.

Thanks, I'm happy I wrote more too. To be honest, I'd planned May you die as a stand-alone and didn't want to make a series out of it, bu snopes_faith practically slammed a plot bunny in my face and I couldn't ignore it. I think I may write something else if I have time and inspiration enough. Glad you liked!

Just passing by, wasn't even going to leave a comment because I've read this several times, in several languages, but. YOUR ICON. IT WINS xD

Thanks. As I said, this was very hard to write and I'm happy it came out good.

like Nathan is the centre of everything

Nathan IS. Peter's world is very, very strict and his idea of life is definitely reduced to what he gets from School and Nathan (the two things mostly coincide, though).

I hope I'll write something more in this universe, if I can. Bye!

I can't remember how I came across this - perhaps through someone's rec list - but just wanted to express how amazing this and the other fic in the series were. Just a fantastic depiction of this strange all-encompassing religious world, and how it informs every aspect of thoughts and reasoning and language. Oh, the angst.
