home at last, home at last
It's freaking cold here. I froze my butt off at work today as we were insulating the lemur exhibits to prepare for the cold. They have tons of heat lamps up and nest boxes, and we are putting up clear plastic sheets around the exhibit to keep them warm. But tonight it will get down to 29 degrees and we are all concerned about them. I felt selfish b/c I was so cold and really did not want to be out climbing up on ladders using a drill, but I knew that the lemurs were colder than I. I was so happy that I got to leave early today, I felt like I just couldn't take the cold any longer. So I stopped at Starbucks on the way home and I'm already wearing my pj's for the night.
The big event for tomorrow is a shopping trip to Target. I already know I'm going to spend too much money, but I need gloves and a hat for work, and I found some cool shoes there...
I know it's too early, but I'm already wanting to put up my artificial Christmas tree. I'll get a real one for the living room, but I like to do a little fairy tree in my bedroom. I might do that the night of Thanksgiving. That is going to be a very busy day- my sis and I will have lunch at our dad's, then I have to go to my mother's husbands familys house (don't wanna!), and then I think I'll do the Orphan Thanksgiving with some friends from work. I can't believe its only two weeks away.
