...Wow, it's been almost a year since I posted anything. I guess things have been, well, rather busy. That amount of lj silence sort of becomes self-perpetuating -- it's hard to know what to say to bring things up to date. So I won't try! I think most of you already know more or less what I've been up to -- if anyone actually wants a life update, email me or something (and, er, I'll be better about answering than I usually am. [cough]).
Anyway, I might have waited til the full year is up, except I have a request for information -- and since it's for someone else, I feel bad about putting it off. One of my classmates (a very friendly, laid-back guy) is leaving us and starting the Ph.D. program at Yale next year, and he's worried about finding housing. Do any of you have any advice? The 'I know someone looking for a roommate/sublet' type advice would be amazing, but just general advice about where to look, areas to avoid, etc. would also be hugely appreciated -- I've never looked for off-campus housing in New Haven, sadly, so am useless on this topic.
And while I'm on this subject -- if any of you happen to know anyone looking for a sublet in NYC this summer, I have a reasonably-sized, sunny, inexpensive room in Morningside Heights on offer starting around June 10th. (Well, okay, all those adjectives probably only apply by Manhattan housing standards -- but it's much nicer than where I've been living this year!)
I hope everyone's enjoying the sunshine. :)
