Hardly a day goes by that someone doesn't stop their car, hop out, and hand me some mail to send out. I'm not on a major street, it's a residential neighborhood. What do people do, drive around at random with their bills looking for a mailman to hand them to? They'll spend $2 in gas to send a 41 cent letter. I know collection boxes aren't as common as they used to be, thanks to Ted Kaszinski, but come on.
