(no subject)
My grandfather is in ICU at the moment, he had a brain haemorrhage, broken ribs, broken shoulders and possible spinal damage. We are waiting on tests to find out the full extent of brain damage. He is most likely not going to wake up, it is just a matter of when. It has been a very intense couple of days, with all my relatives flying in from around the country.
And because all my relatives are here, my boy finally got to meet my parents. They approve, so now I get to be excited about getting married next year since everybody important now knows about it. It's kinda bittersweet at the moment though, knowing my grandfather probably won't be there.
I have an ear infection at the moment, it is really fucking sore. And it means I can't wear my hearing aid so I am in blissful silence at the moment.
Work is still going good. I had to leave work early the other day, and had yesterday off, but my boss had been wonderful so hopefully it doesn't look too bad. I've actually been turning up to all my shifts at this job and was going for 100% attendance. But I think getting a shift covered because of a family emergency is acceptable.
Fifi is becoming all responsible... Have a decent job, getting married, paying bills on time... What is the world coming to? I feel like a boring old person. But oddly enough, I'm loving it!
