"Spirit is all that matters"

I haven't read with such pleasure for a long time. I mean just like "Wow!" when it gets you alot. Lately I was reading more biographical books and no fiction for a quite long time.

When I downloaded Cameron's script I thought I would go through it briefly, reading only parts which weren't in the movie. But when I started I got interested so much that I've read from very beginning till the very end.

Maybe it's because I watched the movie and I understand what is going on, but it was really interesting to read. Even much more interesting than to watch (I actually like to read more than watch). Actually it would be a good book if it existed. There are many episodes in the script with description of what Jack was thinking, how he was reading to what he saw, what he felt. You couldn't see anything of it in the movie. But here when you know the reaction, thoughts and feelings you understand clearly actions. And also in the text some episodes are described in details, but in the movie they last only some seconds. For example when Jack was looking at pictures of Grace with little Na'vi which are hanging above her desk he recognizes little Neytiri and her sister who really looks like her. And it was Grace who taught Neytiri and others to speak English. In the movie he just was looking at pictures and you don't know what he saw there. I actually don't remember at all if Neytiri's sister was mentioned in the movie. And the fact that military people her her and some more children just in front of Neytiri.

And also I realized that I missed a magic world like Harry Potter's one. It were Harry Potters books which I was reading with an interest like this and their world was so familiar to me. Do you remember how Harry tried to do a Patronus for the first time and he was wondering how it would be look like, which animal it would be? So here there was something like that and I don't remember if it was in the movie. During the last task - Dream Hunt when Jake had hall from scorpion's poison she should see his Spirit Animal. And exactly that time he saw a Turuk. When Mo'at asked which animal he has seen he didn't tell, because no one would believe him. So later he decided to tame Turuk not just because he was brave, but just because he saw him in his vision.

NEYTIRI
Kissing is very good. But we have something better.

She pulls him down until they are kneeling, facing each other on the faintly glowing moss. Neytiri takes the end of her queue and raises it. Jake does the same, with trembling anticipation. The tendrils at the ends move with a life of their own, straining to be joined.

MACRO SHOT -- The tendrils INTERTWINE with gentle undulations.

JAKE rocks with the direct contact between his nervous system and hers. The ultimate intimacy. They come together into a kiss and sink down on the bed of moss, and ripples of light spread out around them. THE WILLOWS sway, without wind, and the night is alive with
pulsing energy as we DISSOLVE TO -

LATER. She is collapsed across his chest. Spent. He strokes her face tenderly.

JAKE
Neytiri, you know my real body is far away, sleeping.

She raises up, placing her fingertips to his chest -

NEYTIRI
This body is real.
(she touches his forehead)
This spirit is real.

Her eyes are luminous, honest, infinitely deep.

NEYTIRI
When I was first your teacher, I hated all Sky People. But you have also taught me.
(whispering)
Spirit is all that matters.

She lays her head down, against his chest, listening to his heartbeat.

NEYTIRI
I am with you now, Jake. We are mated for life.

JAKE
We are?

NEYTIRI
Yes. It is our way.
(innocently)
Oh. I forgot to tell?

He rouses up, making her look at him.

JAKE
Really, we are?

NEYTIRI
We are.

Jake considers this.

JAKE
It’s cool. I’m there.

He lays his head down, and her arms enfold him, sheltering him as he sleeps.
