So, we've been living with Adam's dad since February, right? Well, when we moved in, he took the opportunity to tell Adam that we'd be responsible for the entire power and water bill while we're here, seeing as how we'll be using the most of it, while I was at work. Claimed it was only $35 for both before we moved in cause he's a truck driver and only home 2 days. Well, he had hemorroid surgery on October 7th and has been home since a week before the surgery. Now, keep in mind that we haven't had the money to pay any of the bills he claims we cause to be as high as they are. There are 4 total, including the one for the last month, when he's been home. They go as follows: $174.43, $185, $170, and $190... The last is the most recent... He gets up in the morning, lights a cigarette, turns on the living room lamp (one of those tall ones that are a fire hazard), turns on the kitchen light, makes a pot of coffee, turns his bedroom light on, turns his bathroom light on, uses the bathroom (a little tmi, i know), lights another cigarette, fixes a cup of coffee, and turns on the tv and satellite. The lights are never turned off unless one of us says something to him about it (usually Adam) or he goes to bed, at 2 or 3 in the morning. When he's not home, Adam and I only use lights we need when we need them. Example: Our bathroom light is used while we get ready for work, only light on in the house. Then the kitchen light for Keara's bottles for daycare and breakfast to be made. Then I turn on our light to change Keara's diaper. The only thing that's used when it could be cut out is the tv... it's just too quiet in the house for me in the mornings without it. In the afternoons the only thing that's turned on til it starts getting dark is the tv. So I'm trying to figure out: HOW THE HELL ARE WE THE ONES USING ALL THE POWER AND WATER?!
Plus, I wasn't here when something was said about us paying the whole thing. Otherwise, I'd have told him that was bull and we'd only pay the difference of what he would've paid if we weren't here. And with everything he uses, there's no way his bill was only $35 a month for both power and water. I don't care if he was only home 2 days a week... which is bull shit too, cause he's home 3 1/2 days.
Ok, rant's over now... I've gotta open the store tomorrow morning so I've gotta get in the bed. Later.
