So, two weeks ago yesterday, my mom calls me. She got married. To that drunk she's been seeing. The day before she called me. Apparently, none of her daughters were important enough to be invited to her wedding. Then, she told Brittany (my youngest sister, who's 13 years 8 1/2 months old) that she has no say in the matter. She has to move with my mom to Dayton, Tennessee where her new husband owns his own place. A single-wide trailer, where my sister's bedroom is going to be the size of a broom closet. According to my parents' divorce papers, if either one of them wishes to move out of state with my sister, they have to go back to court BEFORE they can move her out of state. My mom wasn't complying with the divorce papers. Plus, there's the fact that my sister has already stated that she wants to live with my dad. Well, my dad and sisters were camping the weekend of Father's Day and came down to my grandfather's house so my mom and sister could talk about it again. Mom told Brittany again that she had to move to Dayton, and she had no say in the matter. Well, my mom forgot one very important detail... My dad does. When they went to get back in my dad's truck and leave, Brittany had to get her key to dad's house out of mom's van. When she did, all hell broke loose. Won't bore you with everything, but it resulted in my mom threatening to call the cops on my dad if Brittany wasn't home the following Sunday by 6 P.M. Dad told mom to get an attorney, that he wasn't playing games. They left, and my uncle, who thinks he knows everything about everything, tries to pick a fight with me. I told him off, then Adam and I left.
Long story short, my dad talked to an attorney the following Wed. and Judge Partain Fri. Mom was served with papers last Sunday stating that my dad has full custody of Brittany, and if she wants to dispute it, she can do so on Aug. 12th when she has to prove why my dad shouldn't be given custody of Brittany. And we really don't see a judge turning over the ruling when Brittany will be 7 weeks from turning 14 on that court date. It wouldn't make sense to send her to Dayton for 7 weeks then come back down here.
My mom hasn't spoken to my dad or either of my sisters since she was served the papers.
