"this is a week that never ends....and it goes on and on, my friend...."
Come to my spring concerts!
This Thursday at George Washington
7:30pm
Next Thursday at Cornwell
7:30
We are rockin' hard with New World Symphony Theme, French Folk Song, and Bass is basic. Cornwell is also doing an ensemble piece called 'Frog in a Tree'. Should be really cute.
Too busy juggling NYSSMA, school concerts, my own performances, private students, random gigs, etc. This week is stress to the tenth power...I actually felt chest pain today while I was running through the halls making sure all my kids had the right amount of copies of their music, etc. Like, real CHEST PAIN. Anyway, soon it will cool down a bit. Meant to mention yesterday's performance here incase anyone wanted to go. Oh well. It was ACSM's vocal ensemble, singing Brahms, Poulenc, Saint Saens, De Lassus, and a world premiere of a piece at a random church on the upper east side. I was also a violin soloist for Eric whitacre's Five Hebrew Love Songs. If you are sorry you missed it, hopefully my 'lengthy' description made you feel like you were there experiencing it for yourself. It was pretty nice. Dave's entire family went, which was strange because none of mine came.... hmmm. There were reasons, but it still felt strange. Even his (almost) year old niece was there! (but not my almost one year old niece!!!) Ok. Time for SLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP
