What the hell is that?
So yesterday I was walking back from the post office, minding my own business when I saw the weirdest plant. It wasn't the shape of the tree or the leave or the flowers but the 'fruit' that it bore.
Just to show you the mind boggling strangeness of it all, I have prepared 2 photos for your enjoyment:
Are they not the strangest things you've ever seen? They're look like a peach, are hollow and well...are hairy. I'm totally fascinated by them and if anyone has any idea what they are, an answer would be very much appreciated.
In other news, I let the cats out on Sunday and Oreo, in true clumsy cat tradition has hurt her eye. Hopefully its nothing serious, my sister took her to the vet this morning and the doctor gave her some ointment to put on 4 times a day and an Elizabethan collar so that she won't scratch. The poor thing though, she looks absolutely miserable. Hopefully it'll heal fast but if it doesn't the vet will have to sew her third eyelid together for a while so that it heals. Apparently a piece of her cornea is missing and has an eye ulcer from the trauma. Ouch. The vet has said that she either got into a fight or hit something really really hard. Poor thing. Just look at her:
She looks been tired all day and has hardly eaten anything. Shes had a fuss from everyone at home and my sister won't let her out of her sight. Too bad the little one is so naughty, he tried to jump on her tonight while I was there. He is so hyper. If you look closely her left eye is all red and swollen, we're going back to the vet on Friday to see how things go. I really do hope she gets better soon, I feel so guilty for letting her out.
