Finally... finally i feel whole again!!!
My computer is back, it only took close to 3 weeks but it now has a new hard drive and is all shiny and empty. The rest of today is going to be used to fill it back up again. itunes, messenger, and all the other programs i'm sure i had but have forgotten will be loaded back on. i'll be getting all my fic files back and starting new picture files. Ugh, i've missed this stupid piece of crap!!!
I started writing the fic i had an idea about yesterday; i wrote it all in my head at work this morning, then by the time i had gotten home it had turned to mush and now doesn't want to work. I have some of it, but parts of it just aren't right. I'm putting it aside for a few days and i'll go back to it, cos it's a pretty cute idea. oh well.
I'm learning the full bar on the guitar, man it hurts like a motherfucker, my poor abused fingers. and the book i have wants me to learn notation. now i can read music so i'm all for this idea, but i'm having problems remembering which fret corresponds to which note..boo!! my memory is so crappy, it doesn't help that reading notes for the piano and violin is like breathing, so if i had one of those in front of me i'd be fine. Also, does it matter if i can't use a pick to save my life.. seriously, it's like my hand doesn't want to hold it...i keep fumbling with it and then missing the strings. Is it essential or can i throw it in the bin??
OOOh.... i'm running out of fic to read. Care to rec. me your faves??? I'm partial to Jon/spencer, but am certainly not limited to them. i'll pretty much read anything put in front of me if it's good.
