why are people so cruel?

I went into work this morning to find that one of the 3 year olds tails has been cut. With saddlebred horses peoplr cut the tendon under their tails and put the tail in a 'set', so the tail will stick up in the air. Stupid looking and barbaric. This poor horse is so drugged up she can barely stand and the blood is pretty much dribbling down her

I was totally sadface after reading about that poor horse but to have to actually see it and help her out? Dude that must just be really hard. Ugh, some people can really suck.

Hmm, I've kinda been talking this idea out a bit over the past week or so and I have like various little things that I'd want to include.

Frank names his favourite puppy in the shop 'Gee' and refuses to sell him. He has a huge crush on Gerard. Jon thinks Ryan is awesome but he does something kinda stupid to get Ryan's attention. He makes up a sister so he can ask Ryan for make-up tips for her. Then Ryan asks to meet her. Spencer is Pete's business manager, along with Pete's partner Patrick. Brendon thinks Spencer's dreamy but somehow gets the idea that Spencer's advising Pete to shut down the store. Oh and Bill's gives manicures. idek.

I've got a couple of other things on the go. But this is kinda eating at my brain right now!

Yeah. It's incredibly cruel... I don't understand it at all, it's part of the 'sport'. People just baffle me!

People...just don't think. They just do whatever's "always" been done without considering the reality of it. You poor darling, having to see that. I probably would have been sick. And the poor horse, of course. :(

Yeah. Its an old tradition that has literally no ref. To todays world. Its so awful lots of vets. Won't do it! I've seen it before but never this bad, they hacked almost right through her tail. I can only hope she's so drugged she can't feel anything. I luckily have a strong stomach or I would have been sick.

That's an awful tradition to still be around today...And it doesn't help the horse any, does it? Only for cosmetic purposes too >:/

And um perhaps, today was just a dry spell for both you and your Dad, and maybe the horse too? Like, you never know, tomorrow or the day after might be SUPER-DUPER-AWESOME!

No. Having their tails upright is purely cosmetic, it doesn't help the horse at all. She looks miserable today and she's still doped up, thank goodness!

I feel better today, I went to see 10,000 bc last night, which was good. And for some reason I can't keep the grin off my face right now after looking at those new panic pics, those boys have invaded my brain today!

Aw, I wish I was with the horse so I could feed her treats or make her feel better...I'm not sure how *exactly* I would do that because I have absolutely no knowledge on horses and I think you would have already done all you can in your power to make her feel better?

I'll hug her for you when I see her. Treats are good and scratches in just the right place never go wrong. I'm doing everything she'll let me, she's turning into a bit of a meany now she's getting sore.
