small hands, big... heart ?

I've just spent an hour learing chords on the guitar. My fingers feel like they've been scraped over a cheesegrater!! i remember this from playing the violin, but it doesn't make it hurt less!! and i think my hands might be too small to play the guitar, they were always too small to play the piano effectively. I need bigger hands dammit!!
Also, i think this might be too adventurous of me, stupid also comes to mind, but i printed out the tabs for metallica's "one" and i can play the opening riff, i got all excited when i finally could recognise the song! Go me!! :D
So, does anyone have any suggestions for easy, and i stress easy songs that i might practice with?? I'm still a bit shitty at chords, but i'm assuming if i keep at it i'll get quicker. so yeah, anything??
ooooh! and i got home from work and Blender was waiting for me. Brendon sweetie i will ambush you if you want, i'm pretty sure i could get a bunch of fangirls who could be groupies for you!! and Spencer's dog has the best name!
Edit: Frank & Jamia being married makes me happier than it should! They need to have lots of babies now!
