That quote at the top got me going LOL. Truthfully, as much as I LOVE Spencer and Derek and Hotch and Chad, I always felt like there is something undone when it comes to Chad and Spencer. Especially since Chad's mama was so set on them ending up together (I don't think she was meddling just to meddle, she seemed to genuinely think Spencer was The One for her son) and Chad has shown on more than one occasion that he's still intensely protective of Spencer (like when Elle showed up)...plus their break up seemed more due to circumstances than anything else..and with them in the same place (in the same building) those circumstances don't exist anymore. I never got the impression they stopped having feelings for each other and those type of feelings don't just go away...especially when nothing "bad" happened to end the relationship. My brain can't help but think if Hotch/Chad or Spencer/Derek start having issues or Chad and Spence start spending some alone time together there could be a triangle (or square lol) afoot. :)
And yeah, they have both moved on, but the history is always there. The whole issue will come up in later chapters of this story, and quite honestly I`ve been thinking about doing a story like that for a while. I`m not big on triangles, but I wanted to give Reid and Chad a chance to have some time alone. Both of them have new loves, but it doesn`t mean there isn`t still feelings between them, and I don`t think those kind feelings ever really go away. You can love the one you`re with, but still love someone else too, it`s just different kind of love. :)
