Criminal Minds Main List Reid snapped awake due to a long, loud scream. He jumped up, but there was nothing abnormal going on. The nightlight was on and there was no uninvited guests in the room. The only abnormality was Morgan, who was covered with sweat and breathing heavily.
“You okay?”
“I…. I had a nightmare.”
“A nightmare.” Reid repeated and snapped the light on the nightstand on. “Let’s hear it.”
“It was horrible….”
“Was it about the job?”
“No, it was so awful…. I looked like a monster.”
“You were a monster?”
“No, I looked like a monster. All sweaty and bloated.”
“Bloated?”
“Stop repeating what I say. I was knocked up.”
“Knocked up?”
“You’re doing it again. Knocked up, eating for two, in the family way, full member of the pudding club, pregnant!”
“You were pregnant.” Reid tried to control his facial expressions, but the mental image was just too amusing. “Sorry, go ahead.”
“I was this big, jiggling pile, and then the devil spawns came out….”
“Devil spawns? Have you been watching the Omen again?”
“I’m serious! There was three of them, all the same. Sweatervests and tweed jackets….”
“Are you serious?”
“Yeah. They all had your ugly glasses and a huge afro.”
“Where did the afro come from? You’ve never had an afro.”
“I had once. One of the guys was having a bachelor party and there was a seventies theme.”
“Go on.”
“They were talking. All the time. They popped out of my stomach and they kept talking about…. I don’t know what they were talking about but it was creepy! And then they left.”
“Where did they go?”
“They multiplied. And then they conquered the word and forced everyone to read Nietze.”
“You’re making that up.”
“No! And then you came….”
“I came where?”
“Wherever we were, what am I, a GPS? You took control of your spawns and you kept me in your library-slash-harem and I kept spewing out more of your minions. And Hotch was belly up too.”
“Hotch?”
“And Chad. And Rossi-”
“I think Rossi is more than few years over the age limitation of procreation even if he could carry an offspring-”
“And Sean, and Cain, and that creepy guy from white-collar crimes-”
“Morgan! Stop right there and let me summarise that for you. I kept all the men you could imagine in the continuous state of expectancy to increase the number of my followers, is that what you meant?”
“Basically, yeah. What do you think it means?”
“Normally I would say it mean that you’re subconscious is overflowing with things you do not allow to surface, and therefore they manifest themselves as a dream.”
“And what would you say in this case?”
“I’d say you’ve been eating pickles again before coming to bed.”
“This is not about my snacks. You kept me as your sexslave and your breeding stallion while you were out there squandering nations.”
“You said you were the carrying parent, so you were the mare, and I was the stallion.”
“I didn’t say-”
“And judging by the amount of men I succeeded to impregnate, the description seems very accurate.”
“You’re loving this!”
“Well, there’s definitely some amusing qualities about this situation.”
“I’m in turmoil and you’re laughing!”
“You want me to analyse that dream for you? Fine, let’s get up and get something to eat.”
“You say that every time I wake you up in the middle of the night.” Morgan commented. “Even when I’m trying to pull your pants off.”
“My focus is better when I have some props around. Like a coffee cup, or a sandwich or a gun, or a pen, or chalkboard, or a donut-”
“I got the picture. You think about hidden meanings, I’ll get you a sandwich.”

Hotch pressed his palm against his mouth to stay quiet. Normally poker face was his forte, but the sight was simple too amusing to resist.
Chad had set up the ironing board in the middle of the kitchen and he was currently swirling back and forth with the iron in his hand, singing along to the radio. His impromptu dance was impressive, his singing not so much.
“Chad?”
“Did you say something?” He turned down the volume. “That was kinda loud.”
“I just found the one thing you’re not good at.”
“I’m damn good at ironing.” Chad picked up one of the shirts from the hamper and tossed it to Hotch`s direction. “And most of these are yours, so watch it.”
“I meant singing.”
“What about singing?”
“It’s comforting to know you can’t do everything well.”
“Hey, I know my limitations! Cain got the singing genes in our family, Maris and I are both tone death.”
“What was that song?”
“Are you kidding? You give love a bad name? Bon Jovi?” Chad looked like he couldn’t believe it. “Everyone knows that.”
“Well, it’s not exactly my kind of music.”
“I was a child of the seventies. When I started to listen to music it was all about big hair and big attitude.”
“So it brings back memories.”
“Yeah, but I never managed to grow that big heavy metal hair. When I was a kid my mom took me to the barber once a month, and when I got to my teenage years, the whole thing was going away.”
“Bad timing.” Hotch smirked. “What came after that?”
“After the Hair Rock? Grunge. I never understood that. People whining about how awful life is and looking like they spent their nights under the nearest bridge.”
“I never had that phase either.”
“I know, I’ve seen the pictures. Serious face and a tie.” Chad picked up another shirt and continued ironing. “Our mom always said “Looking tidy is a compliment to others.” By the way, you need more colour. I’ve ironed six of your shirts and every single one so far has been white.”
“I like white, it suits every occasion.”
“Come on, rebel for once. Didn’t you ever have that rebellion phase?”
“No.”
“I should have guessed.” A grin appeared on Chad’s face. “Wait a minute, you’ve had a rebellion phase.”
“I haven’t.”
“You picked up a strange man from a bar.”
“I knew you before that so you weren’t a stranger. And I didn’t pick you up, you picked me up.”
“Anyway, I’m your rebellious phase. Think about it.”
“Okay, I admit you may have a point.”
“It’s either a rebellious phase or a midlife crisis.”
“Rebellious phase sounds better.”
“It has a nice ring to it.” Chad handed him few of the ironed shirts. “Start folding.”
