Ohhh, nice. I like how you talk about the war "making" Sasori--as if ninja are not people but objects (puppets) taken to slaughter. :O

They are not lonely.
They are the loneliest people in the world.
I must say, those two were my favorite lines. ♥ It's just such a jarring contrast. It's as though--they're not "lonely," because there are other people who do not fit in, like them, but they are also lonely, because the people who do not fit in don't fit in differently from the others. (I hope that made sense.) And then you repeated it near the end! Their heaven, hell, and limbo all in one, because they are not lonely, and they are the loneliest people in the world.--and made me squee. :)

They are the world's orphans, war's orphans, still grotesque children playing with toys. Shunning society, desperate for its acknowledgment - for without acknowledgment as masterful criminals, they are merely freaks. War has made them. They must make war. Art. Without it, they have nothing.
♥ I like the inversions of war making them and then they make war, and the need for acknowledgment as something more than the misfit. Really lovely. :)

Funny thing is, I always feel like I'd look really lame if people actually knew where I got fic ideas from. The whole idea about why Akatsuki actually come together = inspired from a chat with kalliel in which we were all blah blah blah, Akatsuki, and she was kind of like, "What I want to know is, where did Madara and Pein FIND these people? Not a one of them seems to care about their overarching goals. O_o" It kind of led me to thinking, which led me to conclude that it must just be because they're such misfits that nowhere else in the world would tolerate them. :P Which somehow led to SasoDei. Yeah, my mind works in mysterious ways.

Anyhow, I'm glad you liked. Your Sakura icon always fills me with glee. :D

Haha, I don't think that sounds lame at all. :) So long as the fics are good, fic ideas' origins shouldn't matter too much. (I mean, this is coming from the person who really wants to do a Naruto/Alice in Wonderland crossover. XDD) Good observation though; the Akatsuki members don't seem particularly inspired by their "goals" or anything, it's just that they catch the bijuu because well, what else is there to do? :P
