Still no definite news on the job thing, and probably not until next week now. Stressful! The job itself it going well, though, I think. Working two works is tiring. I start to want bedtime at like 8:00 pm these days, and then I realize what a big whiner I am because some people work two to three jobs all the time. The office is great and relaxed and my coworkers - the ones I've met, anyway - are all really kind. Also fairly hilarious sometimes. The following is a screencap I took of a thread in our company's forum, which we use to communicate important and/or relevant information (like "Bagel Day on Wednesday!"):
That first reply is from the dude who's my boss. He is pretty cool.
And last weekend I visited family for a multi-person birthday party. I took PICTURES with my sexy new camera, which is both smarter and sexier than I am. I'm really going to have to read the instructions before I go to Hawaii.
ffff look at that faaaace
and this one too, look at this faaace
I swear Meriel is a happy baby, but I can't capture her awesome muppet-grin on camera. Or I didn't this last weekend.
This is part of the present I got for Hazel. On her head! Shorts! Awesome. I approve so much.
LOOK AT THIS CAKE. IT IS SO GLORIOUS YOU CAN'T LOOK AWAY. LOOK. LOOK.
Hazel had a nasty fever over the weekend, and she wasn't quite herself. However, that face is kind of how she always looks around something she's not sure of. There's a progression of pictures from her first birthday and her reaction to the cake/candles that's comedy gold.
Photographic evidence that Hazel is actually a happy kid who smiles. She really had an off weekend.
Just... burst into tears in the middle of eating cake. ): Poor kiddo.
In conclusion: CUPIE
I really have not been doing much apart from work and being at that birthday party. Right now I'm pretty much doing what I did that other night I was at home, which is sitting around eating pub cheese and pretzels. nom
