i feel like i don't really want to vote this year. i was all excited before about booting out bush, but i feel lately like i will be supporting a lesser of two evils. i don't want to endorse a crappy two party system that only offers me a choice of two candidates who are too conservative for my liking. i don't know any 3rd party candidates who i ( Read more... )

i am pretty conflicted about this years presidential election, too. i feel like quite a hypocrite participating in the same two party/lesser of two evils business that i have also sort of condemned, but at the same time, i don't really know what else to do. i think i would be more unhappy with myself if i didn't vote at all, or voted for some third party candidate that i don't actually care for, just to make a point about the two party system. in the end, i am going to end up voting for kerry, and my rational for it has little to do with him, but still some to do with the democratic party. watching the dnc this year made me realize that although they are still very, very problematic and definitely not very representative of myself, they definitely have some very good people working on them, and all of those people will probably have some degree of influence on the presidency if kerry gets elected. as defeatist or pessimistic as it may sound, i don't think any grand scale changes for the better will be happening anytime soon, so with ( ... )

if you dont participate you have no ground to complain about the state of things. avoiding the election altogether is not a protest it's a waste of power.

is going to go kerry anyways, unless you're in a swing state, voting for the president, i feel is a waste of time. i need to register to vote, it's sad i haven't done so yet. but like "onthemoon" said, there are other issues on the ballot that are more important on a local and state-wide basis than whether or not you select "bush" or "kerry" in the final question.

is this saturday relaly a halloween party and if so is there really going to be costumes involved? also, if there is a party, if i get there at like 11 is that too late? becuase, y'know, that's like...when i would get there. o yes and finally, is it a sleepover party? because i'm not allowed ot be home very late and so there would be no point in me going otherwise. o yeah and one more thing...
