The comment about fear of the unknown is in reference to how easy it is to extricate those fears from someone, or simply let them do their do job and hold said person in fear. Less people than you'd think travel outside their comfort zone for very long, not even going into how many do at all.

And, my point was, a hell of a lot of laws are stupid, and probably should be there anyway. Segregation was a law.. and, all around the world, there are laws that would make someone balk and baffled. You could say America is better for not having any of those laws, but part of it.. you get used to them, if you live here. And, honestly, aside from something like rape, most everything else I believe, is a gray area that should be considered on a case by case basis. I would say murder could be justified enough to let it slide, too. Not saying you should do it, or anyone should, even if they run into a spot where they might be able to in this parellel legal world.. but the sort of thing where if it does happen, look at why/how, and determine if it's ( ... )

yeah but sometimes theres bigger and better things the future holds that sitting in jail. and yes segregation was dumb, if it were the 70's i'b be a hippy standing up against it. and theres a diffrence for standing up for what you believe in and blatently disobeying laws.
you can murder, in a case by case term; self defense.
i believe governement should have the least to do with out live as well, thats why i'm a dem. but an established government is a way that scientists identify civilization, its natural, like lions, bees, ants...
and about the bigger and better things i don't mean like doing something you hate, thats why people have mid-life crisis' because they realize that they hate thier life and thier job and what they're doing so they buy a jag and feel better. but i mean for someone like me for instance, if i think the war is wrong and i hate bush i'm not (i underlined that for the crazy FBI agents to make sure i don't get arested) going to go kill the president to get my point across, because i have a future, that doesn't ( ... )

Actually, the Republican party was supposed to be far less involved in individual lives, but it turned into a sort of, they went and became involved where it helped them. The Democratic party actively announces they'll get involved with your life with social aid programs. Libertarian is by far, the closest major party that believes they shouldn't have a role in your life. Right/Left stuff.. is something like 'identical twins played by Patti Duke.' It's a joke.

At any rate, you'd have been a hippy in the 60s standing up for segregation. I was going to double-check my dates, but I don't have my school books with me as.. it isn't the school year. I'm almost certain all the major civil rights movements and bills were passed then, though. Possibly some was a carryover from the very late 50s. Possibly.Eh, I think vigilante killing can be justified enough sometimes. So what if it's outside the law? If someone can do the exact same thing the legal system would, without the horrendous costs being paid by that system, good for them! It's a ( ... )

I think I'd get drug out into the street and beat within about a day of it being put out for sale.

Thank you, though. Unless that was your idea.

..Or unless we're referring to sheer length. That'd kinda be a let down.

I was saying it in response to the depth that you probe yourself. You could prolly churn out a rather interesting introspective book.

Gotcha. This particular bit was more outward oriented, but I follow.

And I would never think funny thoughts at the word 'probe' next to 'yourself.' Never. =x

I just got around to reading all of this and was wondering if I answered your question about WWI?

Sorta. It was more a curiousity than the main thing I got out through it. I was just wondering the extent fear drove the war, and I wasn't thinking it was a huge amount, in a relative sense, given everything else that happened. The bit about France and fear was nice, though.
