The teams had been split and the project was running full boar, now. Vampires were the most popular hostiles in the area, and probably in the world, but there were demons of unknown origins, as well, and other demons who's names I couldn't pronounce, but did have classification.
It being just myself and Skelman, tonight, with Gates and Miller leading another team, I hoped to capturean unknown demon. The problem with that was that Skelman and I weren't exactly sure what would bring the H.O.U.O down, but you could bet that a blast from the tasers would stop almost anything, and if one round didn't kill them, then you hit them again.
I stopped and held my hand up, turning to see that Skelman was following the directives perfectly. There were some noises in the distance. Then, I saw the blonde hair of something that didn't appear to be human. "Body temperature reading, private," I whispered and when the blond vampire came up at room temperature, we knew that we had a bagging, even if it was just another vampire.
I let him get further along, knowing that not only were we going to be making the streets safer here in Sunnydale by bagging this hostile subeterrestrial, but that we had to pick our spots, because vampires had unbelievable hearing. Keeping off of the leaves and switching on the nightvision goggles, I used hand signals to let Skelman know that it was time to bag the hostile. His hair was easy to pick up, and within seconds, he had stopped and in his attentions, was a sinewy brunette in a beautiful white dress. I thought that this might be a victim, but then the two of them started talking, and fiercely, like they weren't getting along, but they knew each other.
Wasting no time, yet still in the shadows, Skelman and I got arm's length apart and hit the blond hostile, male, with two full doses of the taser beam and watched as he fell to the ground, spasmed, made a noise of discomfort, similar to a grunt, only deeper, and then fell, motionless. The sinewy brunette in the dress looked at us, and all I could see were her eyes. They looked angry, possibly, but they captivated me. I couldn't take my eyes off of her eyes and I couldn't fire the taser gun. This is what i had trained for, and I couldn't do it. She stepped towards the other hostile, looked down at him and when her eyes came back up, I could do nothing but stare at them, and her back at me.
I hardly even noticed, as she moved closer, that she has donned fangs and was also a vampire. Skelman fired as she started towards us and only when I realized that we were in mortal danger, did I too pull the trigger, and eventually, she fell.
Trying to regain my focus, and still thinking about the brunette vampire's amazing eyes, I rushed towards the two bodies, pulling my cuffs from my pocket, as Skelman did the same, and I took the liberty of securing the female, while Skelman locked the cuffs around the blond hostile. I got on the horn. "We need a team at sector thrity-six. We have two hostile sub T's, but will only need cargo space for one."
Skelman looked at me. "Stand down, soldier. I think that I can carry the female hostile back to the initiative. Stay here until the team arrives."
I wrapped the lustrous brunette vampire hostile subterrestrial over my shoulder. As I made my way towards the outdoor entrance of the initiative, I wasn't fooling Skelman, or myself, that I was carrying her instead of letting the team extract her, because I wanted to touch her and feel her against me. Her eyes had made an impression, but this would be it. Once she was in her cell, any communication with me would be over between me and this beautiful demon.
