It was ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous that Finn's life had been turned upside down in a matter of a week. He and Rachel weren't getting along because she was accusing him of being gone too much when she needed his support leading up to sectionals, Quinn all but refused to get within ten feet of him and wouldn't speak to him, and he was waking up hard every night with the thought of what had happened between him and Quinn. It hadn't ended pretty, but it had been fantastic. It was so much more than whatever he'd had with Santana and meant more than the theatrics Rachel tried to push into their first time.

Finn stood backstage at sectionals, with a little over two hours before they were set to go on, and he was focusing with everything in him on the dance moves he had to remember along with the words. Singing was the easy part on show days. As he sat alone in the room, of course earlier than anyone else, the peaceful atmosphere was interrupted by his girlfriend barging in. It seemed everything she did after Sunday night was annoying him. He knew it wasn't her fault, but he couldn't help it. Everything she did, he compared to how Quinn would have done it.

"We have to talk about Quinn," she said quickly, closing the door behind her as she stepped into the room. It was obvious she was distressed, and for a moment he was sure they had been caught. Quinn wouldn't have told her what had gone on between them...she couldn't have done that to him. Luckily, he didn't have to wait long to find out more. "She's up to something, I know it. I knew letting her have leads was a bad idea, she's going to screw it up for all of us. She's never cared about the advancement of this club and she's a weak vocalist jealous of my talent. I thought she would try and sabotage us onstage, but she's looking for Figgins and she has that look on her face. Finn, you've got to stop her, she will ruin my performance with this."

Finn was about to correct Rachel, defend Quinn by giving her the benefit of the doubt, but then something connected in his mind. If Quinn wanted revenge that badly, if she really wanted to get everything she wished for, she wouldn't try and mess with the performance, she would be going after Shelby. He dropped the papers he'd been holding and bolted from the dressing table he'd been sat at, taking off down the hallways of the empty school in search of the blonde in hopes of getting to her before it was too late, though if Rachel had seen her looking for Figgins, he assumed they'd already be talking in his office.
