A GREAT Sunday....

Wow...wonderful...a full two days off in a row!! Marvelous!! Sunday was perfect in every way. Called me dad of course, wished him a happy fathers day. Then started preparing for the concert. It turned out that our friend Sandy could not attend, so we ended up having an extra ticket. This, it turns out, worked perfectly as our friend apochellipsis needed a ride und ticket. We were more than happy to provide both. Zipped out of Smalbany around 5:30, hit Clifton Park to meet up with Fiendish and Ryan, and off to Saratoga Performing Arts Center for NIN, Bauhaus, and Peaches. For the first time in a long time M and I got to have a WHOLE day alone together...WOW a nine thing indeed, very long over-due indeed. For about three years now chaoticerotic and I have had a bag of shrooms in the freezer (now nothing but shroom dust) at this point I figured that they were probably not very potent anymore. Well....when we arrived at the parking lot (witch I will comment was absolutely DISGUSTING!! Dave Matthew had just played Fri and Sat. and the fans just plain TRASHED the place. I was totally appaled at the condition of the parking lots, all of them, trash EVERYWHERE....-sigh-) M and I ate some of the shrooms, me more than her. About thirty minutes later I knew that my prior assessment of the strength was VERY inaccurate!! By the time NIN hit the stage I was tripping rather well, comfortably high to enjoy the ABSOLOUTLY INSANELY AMAZING light show. And that is not just the shrooms talking. I mean it was just plain off the hook good. Whoever the lighting designer is deserves a Grammy, or a Tony, or a Teckie....or whatever award is given out for the most spectularriffic lighting design EVER!! Behind the band was a full sized video screen, and in front of the band was a L.E.D. screen that rolled down in front of the band causing a visual "sandwich" effect. Musically they happily stayed closer *chuckle* to the older albums. Playing my favorite album, Broken, almost completely!! JOY!! Trent had his morose moments when he did Hurt and Something I Can Never Have. I however had a hard time taking it seriously as Trent is now rather buff with a crew cut, looking more agro than sad...^_^

Bauhaus was GREAT. They looked like a bunch of kids up there. David J of course in head to toe black, sunglasses and all, looking as sexy as the devil himself. Daniel Ash romped onto stage his hair in a cupie doll top-knot, black pants, boots, shirt, sunglasses and a FABULOUS white rabbit fur vest!! SEXY!! Kevin Haskins still looks 25 and always will, I swear he is the Dorian Grey of Bauhaus!! And of course Peter....looking more and more like Lord Byron as time goes by. Looking fabulous in his black button down and tight pants. He flowed and flapped during Severance like he was 27 all over again. It was just a wonderful set!! My favorite part was at the end of Stigmata Martyr Peter was plinking on the keyboard, looked at the crowd with a mischievous twinkle and said in his best Peter voice "It's a peeanoooo.." ROFL ooohhh... just to much!!

Peaches was good, but made me feel like I was at work.

And lastly but very much not least....I finally got to meet the wonderful jules_v A.K.A Trilby!! YAY!! Great girl, sweet, talkative, smart and really cute to boot!! What could be better.

Frak.....gotta work....more later.
