Don't know where to start....

Being naked is great: I don't understand how people can pray with clothes on. I was praying in the shower today, in my own way. It was an involved process. I:

A) Made sure no electric light was obfuscating what was going on around me;
B) Sat down in the shower and kept my eyes open, no matter the desire to close them and perceive the feel of the shower more intensely;
C) Focused on the most notable thing in the room.

The light coming through the window into the water coming out of the shower was my subject. Watching the water move, and pick out the light moving in against the flow of the water to make a sort of extraordinary invisible natural cross-hatch. The light moves in at that fixed angle though, and the points of light blur into lines as the water comes down, down. When you read about quarks and photons and that sort of thing you think of the way that looks, the way you think the speed of light might look; those parallel streaks violently moving and disappearing and replaced soon enough. I can't do the way it looks justice, but I can remind you of how it looks and you can do it justice unto yourself.

I watched the speed of light crash against my craggy knees for awhile. A web of shattered speed of light arced from knee to knee forming the most wonderfully complex patterns of inter-meshing globules of lightwater. This was of course picked out against the darkwater flowing down subtly in the background.

I am childish, and war games still rise up in my thoughts from time to time. Naturally I imagined two rival factions, Left Knee and Right Knee (I need to work on my place names) warring over something: probably natural resources of whatever sort are scarce in the knees. They were hurling the globules angrily back and forth, but it seemed to go on forever. I think that comes with war, the forever part.

The heat started to run out in the shower as the sun fell down low enough that the crystalline display became far less interesting. It seems fitting that those three things happened all at once: That the sun had begun to fall; that the water grew colder; the game was over. It is easy to find symbolism because wherever you are, there it is!

That thought is all that sustains me, truly.
