"When I'm with you... it's all okay." Tre smiled and shook his head, reaching his hand back to the bottle on the table. Mike's eyes grew hard, yanking Tre's wrist away from the vodka.
"You're drunk." he said quietly, wanting his friend to be of sound mind if they were going to have this talk. If it meant anything.
"I'm not." Tre's eyebrows furrowed and he sighed, letting his hand drop. "I'm not fucking drunk. I can never get fucking drunk." he laughed bitterly. Mike bit his lip and stared at his friend, at the eyeliner smudged under his wet, blue, eyes. "I try, and I try, but it never makes a difference. I'm always thinking about you." Tre smiled slightly, averting his eyes from the taller man's.
"Tre." Mike caressed the shorter man's wrist with his thumb and leaned a bit closer, tilting his chin up with the other hand. "Why do you think about me?" he asked. Tre laughed breathlessly.
"How could I not, Mike?" he asked, eyes sad. "You're my world. And I'm not your's, and that hurts. I can never be Brittany, I can never come close to that, the way she fits in your arms, the way she kisses you, loves you." he shook his head again and blushed. "I'm not what you think about, and that scares me." Tre wiped at his eyes with the back of his hand.
"Tre..." Mike sighed and held onto both of his hands. "How do you know what I want? How do you know what I think about?" he shook his head and brought his lips to his band member's, chapped lips on lips damp with alcohol. Tre let out a gasp of surprise before responding, closing his eyes and kissing his bassist back. Mike brought his friend's hands to his upper chest, and Tre wrapped them around his slim shoulders, never wanting this moment to end.
"M-Mike..." Tre stuttered when the taller man pulled away from the kiss, still keeping his arms around those shoulders. Mike laughed breathlessly, eyes bright, blue, clear, staring right into Tre's own pair of blue eyes.
"I never said I didn't love you." Mike said quietly, pressing a kiss to the drummer's forehead. Tre looked to Mike then, surprise and hope in his eyes.
