Timeline: Begins right after he came to say sorry after calling her Mudblood, and she refused to forgive.

First one is mainly Lily's emotions, but it'll get better in the second)
I don't think the guy who woukd sleep on the floor would stop trying to be forgiven. And I don't think Lily wasn't sorry herself.
And mostly, I thought it was very strange to call your loved a Mudblood anyway. I'm inclined to think this was not without reason.
And, I love comments.
