How long have you been writing?: About a year. I wrote fic when I was much younger, but I don't count that.
Any other communities you post at: I actually haven't posted any HP fanfic since I was twelve. I'm working on some now, though, and I'm here to hopefully find some people to help me out with it. :) I'll probably post at some DH fic comms when I finish something. I do write Doctor Who fic, pretty regularly, though.
What got you into fanfiction?: ...I don't remember. I first read fanfic on the internet a decade ago.
Example of your writing (300 words or less , please): This is a bit from a five-piece fic I'm writing. Character vignettes, each focused one of the five senses.
Severus Snape taught Harry Potter for six years.
Everyone convinced themselves that the hatred between them was rooted in the schoolboy feud between himself and the elder Potter.
Severus didn’t much care for the fact people regarded him as the type of person who held a grudge so petty against someone who had hardly earned it, but it served his purposes. No one would ever suspect the real reason. Not if they thought him incapable of it.
From the moment Severus first walked into a classroom with Harry Potter at a desk, the boy never had a chance to prove himself. The first day, ridiculed. The boy grew to hate him, and that was just fine.
The more the boy hated him, the less he’d see of him.
And the less he’d see of those eyes.
Do you want your sample to be critiqued?: Sure, it's for a fic-in-progress, anyway!
Any challenge ideas?: How about different versions of the epilogue?
