How long have you been writing?: More than ten years
What got you into fanfiction?: A friend of mine got me hooked into a message board and the board had some really excellent fic writers that inspired and encouraged me to write my own. (Though my first fanfiction was technically when I was seven and I wrote a story about the Easter Bunny)
Example of your writing (300 words or less , please):
This was in response to a writing challenge for your character to write a letter to someone who has hurt them.

Bellatrix, Rodolphus, Rabastan and Barty -
I want you to know that your 'Lord' is dead. He died at the hands of Harry Potter. All of his Horcruxes were destroyed. He will never rise again.
I want you to know this because I want you to understand that evil dies. It may take a few tries but it always dies in the end. And while it's horrible and almost unbearable while it lives - the pain dies with it - slowly yes, but it does fade away leaving good to take its place. Your 'Dark Lord' didn't understand that and maybe you can't either. Maybe you've moved beyond a place where you can understand goodness and love and forgiveness.
Maybe you think that what you did all those years ago to my parents meant something. It's true you destroyed my family, you broke their spirits and you made me afraid. But it's over now. I have my family. My Gran and I love each other and she is proud of me. My parents minds may be broken but their spirits are alive; they're alive in me and they'll live on in my children and my children's children. I am not broken and I am not afraid.
You all will be forgotten. There is no one left to carry your memories, no lives that you've touched who cherish you. You will just die a little bit more with each day that passes. You won't be going to heaven or to hell - you'll just stop existing anywhere at all.
I think that's fitting somehow.
