This is fantastic and is making me all nostalgic for some early season X-Files! I love how you've taken the wibbly-wobbly concept of Doctor Who time travel (which I haven't seen used much in fic) and used it to weave Donna into Mulder's history.

And I especially loved the little detail about the cellphones. I had forgotten how much they've actually evolved from the early '90s. :D

I think I was inspired by reading a couple of stories that used time travel in a really good way. There were about four I read in quick succession: one by orbythesea about Sarah Jane and Eight and one with Captain Jack. If you'd like I can dig up the links.

As for the phones -- I was watching an XF repeat on one of the cable channels and good grief, the phones are huge. Nothing dates a programme like technology. It's worse than fashion. One day all this too shall be antediluvian *g*

Thanks for the lovely comment

Links would definitely be welcome :)

Hee! I remember the joke of the flashback episode where we discover how Mulder met the Lone Gunmen being the brick of a cellphone he carried.

Oh man, I'd forgotten The Usual Suspects. I was mostly thinking of all those weird cellphones with the pullout aerial like the first one I ever had. Anyway

More than Just A Cheap Trick: Martha and Donna meet each other out of sequence

I feel as though I am missing a couple of obvious ones but I can't for the life of me find them. That'll teach me not to sort out my delicious bookmarks properly

I still have my first cellphone and, good lord, is it now a giant plastic paperweight!

Thank you! I had stumbled across Spitting Images before and just loved it. Something about Donna and Ten just brings out the crack!fic lover in me.

Off now to read the other two!
