I was watching CNN yesterday in the gym, and at some point they showed some video footage of Bin Laden giving a speech, while at the same time the running headline below was about Osama coming to a 9/11 ceremony at Pentagon to give a speech and pay his tribute to the victims. I was really confused for a moment, it took me a while to realize I misread the name in the headline, it was actually Obama who came to Pentagon, not Osama. That got me thinking, judging by the level of education today, I am afraid kids as little as 100-200 years from now will have a really hard time remembering which one of the 21th century political figures was the "good" one and which one was the "enemy", their names sound too much alike. Taking this thought further, in a few thousand years, the civilization that is going to inherit the earth from us will analyze the remaining "scriptures", decipher the ancient language and possibly conclude these were just different spellings of the same name. I guess we should've thought about this before choosing our presidential candidates :)
