Ok. Since the jobs market SUCKS, and I'm desperately broke, It's time for me to be innovative.
MAKEUP
I will do your full makeup for a night out, photo shoot, and/or give you tips/show you how to do it yourself. I can do lots of different kinds of looks, from light and natural, sleek and sophisticated, colorful and fun, dark and sultry/smokey, to full out sex kitten.
I have several years of makeup experience on myself, and have been told I'm rather good at it. I'd really like to start doing makeup for other people in order to build a portfolio. On the chance that I continue to have issues finding a job after I graduate, I'd like to possibly pursue cosmetology or at least a job at a makeup counter/store, and an impressive/extensive portfolio is key.
Unless you're close to my coloring, you'll have to provide your own foundation/coverup/powder (no biggie). I have a pretty decent collection of high end makeup (99% MAC Cosmetics) including over 30 different eyeshadows, 20-25 different lip colors, several blushes/face products, and many other awesome makeup products allowing for lots of different possibilities to create the look you want, or to let me create a look for you. I'll come to you (assuming you live in the Grand Rapids area) at your convenience, and since I have a lot of free time I'm available pretty much whenever.
Prices will range from $10 to $20 depending on if extra products are needed that I do not have (ie: faux lashes, etc.) Let me know if you're interested and we'll talk about what you want, then if you want to, we'll set something up!
PHOTOGRAPHY
I am an ex-photography major who has worked with both film and digital equipment. I have portrait, nude, concert, and group photography experience.
I currently work with a Nikon Coolpix 3200 digital camera. The quality is good up to about 8x10" enlargements. If you're looking for wallet sized or photos up to around 5x7", or some simple, inexpensive promo pictures for a website or flyers, my camera would be great. Anything larger than 5x7", the quality of the photos go down a little bit. I also have a professional grade camera tripod to use if needed.
All of the people and bands/musicians I have shot have been very happy with the photos I've taken. I am working on compiling on an online album of photographs that I have taken of people/bands/musicians previously. Since some were erased from my computer and I have to collect them from the people I took them of, and some are only in hard printed form, I should have them up and ready for viewing online within a few days.
1-2 PERSON PHOTO SHOOT
I will photograph you or you and your partner/friend. These photos would make a great gift or a great way to save money on engagement photos.
A 1-2 hour photo shoot in a location(s) of your choice, including a CD with all of the photos from the shoot, I'm asking $20.
I will charge $30 for full makeup (per female) and a 1-2 hour photo shoot with CD of all photos taken. Each additional person will be $5 for the shoot and $5 for female makeup. Male makeup (if requested) is free.
BAND / MUSICIAN / GROUP PHOTOGRAPHY
I will do a photo shoot for your band, wherever in the Grand Rapids area that you wish (more than one location okay).
For a 1-2 hour shoot in the Grand Rapids area and a cd containing all of the photographs from the shoot I'm charging $30. A 1-2 hour shoot plus full makeup for 1-2 females will be $40, and $50 for 3 or more females. Male makeup is free.
Price can also go up or down slightly depending on the amount of time taken and number of locations (ie: how much driving around time). Price will be determined before the shoot, so you/you and your band knows exactly what the cost will be. The rights to the photographs will be completely yours, although I will keep copies to add to my portfolio, and credit on a website if used online would be much appreciated, but not required.
MISCELLANEOUS PHOTOGRAPHY
I'll also photograph your pet, or pretty much anything else you'd like me to. Prices will be determined based on what I'll be photographing and how much time/how many photographs/difficulty of shoot (ie: trying to shoot a great picture of your hamster may be challenging, haha).
PRINTS
Since I am not equipped with the greatest photo production equipment (I have a photo printer but it's the cheapest one they make), making prints may be better off left to you. I can make prints via Walgreens/Meijer/etc. for an extra charge. I will also frame/mat the print(s) for an extra charge depending on the cost of the framing/matting if you'd like.
ARTWORK
I love to paint in my spare time, and have sold almost every painting I've done either online or to people in person. I primarily do abstract and surreal work, but have done some landscapes, and am willing to try almost anything.
The selling prices for my paintings have ranged from $20 to $130 (this one was HUGE). Many people have showed interest in commissioning me to do a painting or series of paintings for them. I have a [very outdated] artwork website at http://www2.student.gvsu/~oliverk if you'd like to see a few of my works.
Since canvas sizes/difficulty of the work/quality and amount of materials needed all vary greatly, we would have to speak with each other either online, on the phone, or in person to determine what exactly it is you are looking for and to discuss prices.
