Today I cleaned my room. It wasn't all that bad, really. It took me four, five hours, tops. I put ninety-seven percent of my stuffies and my stereo equipment into storage; threw out one of chairs, which I feel extremely guilty about; moved my books into the living room and my movies into the hall outside my room (they may all move back sometime soon, but I'm waiting to find the right shelves before I bring them back) and am going to place my clothes (which are being washed) in shelves in the closet. I swept and went through all of the papers on the floor, then took a break to go up to Target to get a nice wooden scrub brush; came back and scrubbed the floor while listening to the Bandits. I enjoyed the scrubbing, the scrub brush worked a good, black lather and it only took me forty-five minutes to finish. I'm still trying to figure out what the black stuff slathered over the floor boards is, it comes of as a foamy, sticky substance when it's washed and looks like paint when dry. Maybe it's shoe polish. O_o I was covered in dust and black stuff and smelled weird by the time it was over, but it a fair exchange for this clean, empty room. Yay.
Things are well in Bandits land. I just spent a hundred fifteen dollars on The Making of Bandits: Eine Collage. It was out of print and the only one I could find anywhere, which made the purchase justified. I got the DVD yesterday, it's fantastic. The music videos are great, I have a slight preference for Puppet (besides the fact that Jasmine and Katja and Nicolette were all adorable when singing together), because although beautiful, Catch Me had an intense focus on Luna and Katja/Emma looked awkward. In Puppet was the little blond girl dancing Katja Riemann's daughter? I'm assuming since she would have been about three, and she looked like Katja.. She was cuuuuuute!
Me and Chloe watched half of the Director's commentary together (I thought it would bore her, but she had to go back to her mother's, so I finished watching it by myself that night. Katja von Garnier (the director) sounded lovely and I was grateful for all the insights into the film. She made the girls seem so wonderful and sweet, and they seemed to all have such a close relationship with each other. I loved it.
