Ever stumble into something totally unexpected?

That's right- there is a nazi regime community on LJ.

Hey, I'm pro-first amendment so they can do whatever they want- but it was a little bit of shock to see it on here...

I just want to take a double take and say "really? No seriously. Seriously? You want to construct or be in a community discussing the role/historical "value" of the nazi party. Wow."

It just seems like such a waste of time to me. At the end of the day- after studying the "good" points of Hitler's regime what conclusion do they expect to come to? That he was a good guy? I suspect the argument would go something like this, "I mean he tried to exterminate jews- but let's put that aside..."

To which I'd shoot back a quick "FUCK NO you CAN'T put that aside."

I once heard an old German who was a kid in Germany during that era say "under Hitler everyone had jobs"

ummmmmmmm ok.

Take a population of people and seize their possessions, make them leave the country, imprison or kill them- I suppose the displaced race would leave behind several open positions. Jesus! That's an economic genuis there?!?! What the fuck- some people don't think...
