I know people use the phrase 'sorting my life out' a lot but I feel like I am actually doing it. Things are changing and all because of one very special friend.
Last week I was feeling very delicate, and incredibly emotional, I'd spent three days crying in my room (housemates didn't notice, I guess I'm good at covering it up) and was feeling not very nice. Tootled off to uni as usual and I guess it was written all over my face because the next thing my friend Angharad (An) is asking me if I'm okay and why I look like I've been crying. I wasn't even aware I looked sad. On Friday we had a long long chat about what I was going to do about Matt (thats a different story now!) and we ended up talking about a lot of things and by that I mean everything. Every little issue I have. She was so wonderful and patient and helpful. On wednesday she's taking me to see a counseller, the same one that she sees. I was so surprised that she sees one. She is the most confident and lovely person I know. I'm not writing about her life here but yes, I guess everyone has things going on below the surface.
And then today she decided she didn't want to do Music Society Orchestra anymore. Its fair, she has so much work on and MSO isn't an essential for her. So I'm now leading. And she was so supportive to me. We had a chat on the phone after the rehearsal and she said that James & Holly (conductors of MSO) were really happy with me leading and thought I did really well. Thats so good to hear, coming from two conductors I really respect. And then An said she was proud of me and I nearly cried.
What a lovely person. She really is very special ^_^
