Summary: Sam looks at Dean.

Sam looks at the face cupped between his hands. He slowly rubs his palms against the shiver inducing scruff of Dean’s cheeks and traces the lines of mouth, nose, and cheekbones with his eyes. Dean’s eyes on his are like a caress of everything natural - he can see grass, water, and sunlight in those eyes. Sam brushes his thumbs over the bits of gold scattered beneath Dean’s eyes, inexplicably glinting in the dimness of the hotel room, and dips his face in, rubbing his nose across Dean’s warmth and velvet. He looks at the freckles and thinks even the sun can’t resist leaving pieces of itself behind with Dean.
