(no subject)
today i am getting my hair cut by someone other than myself for the first time in like, two years! very exciting. i fully anticipate my new 'career lady' persona will catapult me to the far reaches of successful living. now all i need is a job!
(side note: full time work is so mediocre. i feel like i get about an hour at home between bouts of just being here, and that i waste on board games and wine-in-a-box or sewing and 'american juniors.')
j and i have a room booked at san francisco's illustrious renoir hotel for a mid-month vacation. i'm also trying to run up a total of $400 on my ralphs club by the fifteenth to cash in on their 'great escapes' promotion, whence i will receive a complimentary two-night hotel stay in my choice of 36 cities. i've already got $262.88! care to help out? key in xxxxxxxxxx at the check out and let me know you did -- you will receive by mail a bounty of enormous pleasures.
also, by the beginning of next week there should be some new things at two liter designs. expect to see some awfully adorable reversible handbags, and -- get this -- slap bracelets (!). i've had a few really promising writing ideas lately too, so if i ever get the time to actually write them, there may be a few self-published booklets on the way. j has the printing hook-up, so there might be some sort of a collaborative thing in the works as well. he's such a pumpkin.
leaving at noon to start 4th of july weekend! it's looking like it just might top last year, despite j's skepticism. apparently i've talked it up to enormous proportions. (confidential to ryan price: what are we doing to do without you to pour shots and wrestle in the sand with?? i hope you manage to have a good time anyway -- give jalise a little pat on the head for me. xo.)
