i'd be hard pressed to find a mood less inclined toward paper writing at the moment.
i have this awful case of cabin fever from spending the entire afternoon inside in the dark watching splendor and crash (i will have nightmares featuring james spader making out with the skin seam on the back of rosanna arquette's mangled leg tonight, i practically guarantee) for my film class. by the time i was done, the sun was setting and i had to sit on the porch for a good fifteen minutes before i could even think about returning to the interior of my apartment. also, i listened to one of my neighbors (the guy who's always cursing at the dogs, i suspect) emit rumbling, guttural screams from his apartment for the better part of an hour, which was something worse than unsettling. i think he may be rabid. and now i've been staring at my word document for longer than i'd care to mention, and if this wasn't my only time to complete the assignment, i would probably just put myself to bed.
yesterday i won a five hour game of risk ("napoleona," matt said. which i thought was cute because i am lately sort of intrigued with napoleon and his disproportionate sense of power and height). i also watched cq and had a bit to drink and, following a three day long obsession with potatoes, said to john while eating tortilla chips, "wouldn't it be really great if they made chips that tasted like potato?" (his response: "really? what would they call those?")
we won't discuss the time i inadvertently reinvented the fanny pack.
day before that... i worked. and saw punch drunk love with tim (who is seriously so cute. but tells me he is probably moving to seattle in january and all i can really think to say is: unfair! i don't want you to go away yet.) and we had raisinettes with our popcorn.
thursday j came over and we watched the nightmare before christmas in preparation for our trip to disneyland to see the haunted mansion all done up. he hasn't been there since before indiana jones opened and is excited and that's cute.
i just realized that in sum, i've seen FIVE movies this weekend. that's ridiculous. between the television and the computer, i'll be surprised if i don't burn my retinas right out.
