vacation's one day shy of being completely over. it's treated me well these past few days.
saturday, had work in the morning, got out on time, got home, went to the mall with my sister and her boyfriend's sisters, got some clothes that i needed, and came home.
monday i had work but i went and did things over the neighborhood beforehand, completed two scholarships, other errands.
tuesday was earth day, went to whole foods with my mom to get free earth day bags there and some groceries, hopped around and did more errands, did another scholarship.
wednesday, i got up to meet gina at hofstra for the earth day thing there, got there around 11 and walked around thecampus (it's so nice and it's an entirely seperate world there, beautiful, man.). we got free food, other vegan food and talked for hours.
thursday, i woke up extremely.... upset about something and cried nonstop, didn't want to leave the house, but went out with my dad anyway. did some running around, cool stuff.
friday (yesterday)went to see a movie with my mom and brothers and sister. i normally really like tinafey and most of the cast of saturday night live, so i expected to like it. it was cute, but i didn't really laugh. watched cloverfield later in the night. i didn't really pay much attention though, i guess that doesn't count.... arf. i did get bored of it though.
today i got up early to work; the usual crowd wasn't there, but it was busy. the kids were generally okay, so i didn't have to run around and chase them all over, but i have a strange tolerance for kids. right after, i got to the hicksville train station, went to the city, and shopped around until colleen came by. some spanish guy tried to help me cross the street,
'oh, it's okay, i'm from the city, i'm just...disoriented today'...i don't do a good job of leaving a nice first impression on people. i personally don't mind it if people think i'm disoriented, but there's agreater chance of them thinking i'm a druggie. ah, well. colleen came in at 3, so we waited for the train to come and headed over to the village, but really wound up in chelsea, and walked through some street fairs there for 2 hours and finally wound up where we were headed for at around 5:30, walked around, got some food from viva herbal* and this vegan bakery that doesn't use oil, apparently. i haven't seen her since 10th grade, it was nice to see her again.
* viva herbal has consistently let me down the last few times i've been there. i paid $4 for a slice of vegan mozz. pizza and they give it to me with practically raw mozzerrella stuff on there. i always get a stomach ache from eating there, too, but my stomach's always tempermental so that can't be a good indication of anything.
college is exciting me more and more.
