(no subject)
it is the most gorgeous day outside.
the first day where i walked to work wearing my black fingerless gloves and my faux-velvet blazer. no giant scarf and hat, no wintery eskimo jacket ... just regular clothes and gloves.
and it was great (when i was in the sun).
i should admit that one of my favourite things is getting up early.
i like being the first one up (especially in summer) and padding around the house while the sun is still milky in the windows.
i'm not a fan of the actual waking-up-early process and i hate feeling tired or rushed in the morning ... but i still like being up early.
Which is why i really enjoy walking to work in the mornings. When the air feels crisper than normal and the birds aren't drowned out by cars.
It was this sunny yesterday too. (it reached 19.7 C in lower hutt)
Craig and i sat outside for what felt like hours. I read bill bryson and he thought about his car.
he then started working on his car and that just ruined it. So Loud!
if i hadn't been so lethargic from the sun i would have actually moved, instead of subtly pouting at my book.
i think i got a little sunburned also - first time since winter. stupid Irish skin.
