Wake me up when term is over.

Naruto, do you still have my copy of Sandinista! ? I can’t seem to find it…its kind of important.

And does anyone know who I’ve got to talk to about resigning from auditions?

It's s'posed to rain on Sunday.

I'll come with, if you want me to. I mean, someone should be there, I guess. Sad as it is, I suppose we probably knew him best.

I think he said something once about his family hating him after something went down between him and his old man. Or maybe it was his brother. Did he have a brother?

Hadn't really thought that far ahead. I'll come looking with you, though, scare off the roaches.

Fuck. Of course it is.

[There's a scribble of ink here that's running slightly, like water dropped on it and was brushed off the page]

It was his dad, but it was about his brother. Younger brother. He was such a fucking idiot. I don't blame his family, not really. Mine'd do the same I think, in the circumstances.

Alright.

[Anko has doodled on the smudge to make it resemble a whale.]

Don't worry, it'll provide mood.

Spike was hard to like sometimes, so I'll bet he was hell of fucking earth to raise.

Still, you'd think they'd want the body for something.

Cool. You got a neighborhood in mind?

I have never hated past tense so much in my life.

[More water smudges, thin and long, like water had dropped and then been pushed off the page and Anko's 'the' has been corrected fiercely into 'HIS'] I don't care if they want him, I'm not giving him to them.

No. Just anywhere really.

Only this second's present tense, babe.

[There's a small, spidery dot of ink next to Temari's correct, like someone left a pen there for a long time, then took it away. Small fish and a sailboat have been added next to the whale.] Well I guess it's lucky they don't then.

You should look for a place in Brooklyn, so the trees would have more artistic value.

Chi-Town's overrated. We should take a road trip to Canada instead. Moose!

I hear D.O.A. still plays regularly in Vancouver.

C'mon, you know you want to have a syrup-chugging contest with a hardened trucker. Can you do that in Chicago? I THINK NOT.

Don't play coy with me, I know your love of all things maple.

Added incentive: there is a town in Canada called "Dildo." FOR REAL. JUST THINK OF THE SOUVENIRS.

..........

I heard that was wicked small town in the middle of nowhere. I doubt they have souvenirs at all.

No way, Canadians are way savvier than we think, beneath the smiles and funny accents. If you ran a tiny town in the middle of nowhere that happened to have a hilarious name, wouldn't you milk it for all it was worth? I BET THEY HAVE HATS.

....only one way to find out, I suppose.

Should I maybe just put my stuff in storage instead of finding a roof? Pack Honey Baby with the essentials and hit the road?

That's the spirit. Or we're getting there, at any rate.

Now THAT is the most sensible thing you've said all day.
