Internet

When I first started traveling on the information superhighway I spent endless hours getting on and off obsucure little places, peoples individual webpages etc. It was great fun, fascinating facts and humourous pages abounded. Geocities had neighborhoods in local areas, for persnal web pages, each page numbered like a street address, the intamacy of these neighborhoods was nice. There was a commercial for an American high speed internet company where the computer tells it's owne "stop, you have reached the end, go back" refering to the man reaching the end of the internet, and seeing all that is to be seen. Some how, The internet changed. It is a barren wasteland of the aformentioned webpages, abanondoned as though a invisable holocaust comsumed its residents, those websites reading last updated November 4th 1999, sit there, unchanged in an uncanny glimse of the past.

I for some reason never get around to searching the net for obscure places of Fascinating facts or Humourous pages, they seem so hard to find these days. the internet has changed. Full of commercials, annoying pop-up ads, spyware, spybots, etc, etc. Surfing the web is no longer what it used to be.

One major leap of the internet's growth has been Google. It brings a whole new meaning to "the world at your finger tips"

Today at work, I had six hours to kill. So I surfed the web. I checked some of my old email accounts, I found emails form old friends, dating as far back as 1998. boy those wer ethe days! love emails at that! wow... I loved people! hehe.

Thats it for now people!
