An appropriate find, after an evening last night spent browsing in the Whipple Museum of Science (which has a brilliant collection of historic scientific instruments: Darwin's microscope, compendia, kaleidoscopes, armillary spheres...).

I still think it would be nicer if the clockwork on the cover was semi-functional.
I miss having access to a high quality machine shop where one can actually cut gears and similiar stuff. And having cheap access to a prototyper and forge for casting. I've been wanting to create some sort of kinetic structure for a while now.
