Supergrass!
I saw them play the Junction last week - I think it was Thursday. Massive crowd of sort of averagely trendy, "normal looking" people (branded jeans, logo tshirts, product-ised hair - guys and girls), most in their late 20s. Had the feeling the audience were re-living their University days. Felt a bit left out! I was never into Supergrass as a band during the whole Britpop thing (at the time, I had a doleful diet of shoegazer / 4AD bands, and US indie rock), and actually struggled to recognise a single song... Supergrass seem to have been huuuge here, judging by the audience reaction. My friends all loved it. Musically, I thought they were OK, very tight, and made an effort to put on a good show and be entertaining. Nul points for audience banter though. Bouncy, up-beat, lad-friendly music.
