Wow. Prepare for Oscar/Andy BNFhood, my friend. There are too many fantastic things in this for me to have time to pick them all out before I go to bed, so I'll get back to you with gushing later. But let me just tell you: "La Isla Bonita" had me LOLSTC (laughing out loud slapping the couch).

I hoped you'd comment and use that icon. I nearly named the story that.

I'm glad you liked it. I don't want to overdo it! I don't want to ruin The Office for you!

Hahaha, oh, lord, please pay no consideration to my crazy hangups in regards to your creative pursuits. Only I can ruin The Office for me.

I wanted to pick out some things I specifically liked in this:

“Righty-o. And Angela has eeiiiiissues with that sort of thing.”

You're so great at in-character dialogue, but the way you captured/expressed Helms's delivery on top of that? Utterly delightful.

...Gil’s pro-Crash stance during the Oscars led to several very loud arguments, which seemed important for a reason he couldn’t define.

I love this. That's all.

“nice farm in Vermont”

Hee! Fantastic addition. It's gay, and it's where Cliche Mom and Dad tell you they sent your dog when you come home from school and Ol' Captain's not there anymore!

Even the way his lashes were semi-glued with tears was something out of the 1950s…maybe a Douglas Sirk film, but still.

The preceding sentence is excellent, but I have to call attention to a Douglas Sirk reference. FTW, man. (And that's pretty gay, there, Oscar.)

“But I majored in True Blue.”So funny and awesome and perfect. I can just imagine him in his dorm room, wearing his giant Walkman, singing along to "Live To Tell" with ( ... )

Is that better? Longer? Fulfilling? I am pressuring you for details since I know you're uncomfortable leaving feedback in the first place? Because I'm a jerk?

IT IS BETTER. AND FULFILLING IN THAT YES OMG YES THIS IS FANTASTIC BUT NOW I WANT MORE WAY.

Hee. I have no idea why I don't leave feedback more often. I'm SO COHERENT.

“A bro notices another bro’s topping preferences.”

Adorable!

Ooooomg, I do not even know what to DO!!! You are making today like the best day in my life. Make of that what you will. Everything about this is just so perfect I can't even stand it! Andy's voice! Every single thing he says, ever! (“Anywho, I thought maybe we could have a bro night, a bro date, a broooomantical evening.”) And Oscar's point of view is just so perfect, with his watching Ghost Whisperer with no one to mock it with OH OSCAR, and HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER REFERENCE, and Andy so not even knowing the emotional devastation that he is in for! The crying, "That was not accidental.", LA ISLA BONITA. (Oh Andy!!) It's just like, they are both so perfectly in character, and it doesn't even feel like a little bit of a stretch when the b gets taken out of bromantic, because there is just this weird harmony where they work together so perfectly.

THANK YOU FOR WRITING THIS, YOU UTTERLY BEAUTIFUL PERSON. ♥

Awwwww, thank you for the feedback! I haven't ever written slash, so I'm glad it seemed to work. And I know how important in-character is for you, since you've written Oscar so often!

This is perfect. You write them both so well and there are so many great details. You're kind of my hero of Oscar/Andy now. Ah, love love love.

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!! This was awesome. So, so wonderful, and exactly what I needed. I adore you for making the transition from friendly bro night into passionate bro night look so effortless. I could actually believe something like this happening. And describing Andy as

the cherubic and faultless Boy Scouts of the Norman Rockwell Saturday Evening Post covers: shiny and angelic, with a smudge of pink from cheek to cheek

Was absolute perfection. And I love that it ended with Oscar laughing in complete glee. LOVED IT!

Random fact that you probably don't care about: My nephew often says to me when I make him angry, "I QUIT YOU!" and naturally I think of Brokeback.

The temptation to make a "quit you" joke was strong. Your nephew and I are of one mind.

Hee, glad you liked the description. I'd hate to disappoint you on that account. ;-)
