Reading is power!

Kara and I went used book store shopping today and then to dinner and then to a movie and it totally wore me out. But in a good way. There is nothing I like better than buying books that I will never read! Just kidding. That's the best kind of impulse buy: you see a book from across cramped bookshelves full of books and know that you have to have it. And you only have to pay like $3! I hope to one day read all the books I buy out of pure impulse at used book stores. Even if it takes me a lifetime. Here's what I bought:

Angels & Insects by A.S. Byatt
Summer of My German Soldier by Bette Greene (read this in middle school and am now going to re-read it)
My Secret Life (a Victorian anonymous and erotic! autobiography) (which scandalized and entertained both myself and Kara over dinner)
A Dictionary of Literary Terms
British Literary Anecdotes
The Glory of Hera: Greek Mythology and the Greek Family by Philip E. Slater
Aspects of the Novel by E.M. Forster

Aaaaah what else has been going on? I graduated from William & Mary about two weeks ago...which was strange and lovely and continues to feel unreal but good. I enjoyed the majority of my time there and wouldn't trade it for anything, but it was time for me to get out of that race. I always try to quit while I'm ahead ;).

My time right now is split between sleeping, spending money I don't have, avoiding looking for a job, and of course catching up on loads of SLEEP. I think next week is the ETA for real life, but I am pretty certain I have until the middle of June to have a REAL plan of action, which gives me some time.

My only other thing to say is LOVE TO ALL!

summer, graduation, books
