I got good news from the second orthopedist on Friday: not only did he say I could put weight on my foot and only use 1 crutch, he also said there was a good chance I could be mended in a few weeks. Nothing about surgery... I don't know why that other guy was so scary about having to get surgery and not putting weight on it, but I guess it's better to be on the safe side than risk hurting it more by walking around. My foot is still sore and tender and I really don't like walking with the huge plastic boot on, but at least I can walk with much less difficulty and only one crutch!
In about a week and a half, my sister and I will be in LONDON! Does anyone have any suggestions for places to visit, shop, eat, etc.? We have never been abroad before so it should be VERY interesting. I have a number of things I have to do for my research, but I am totally open to suggestions and helpful hints! Any way for me to maximize my puny dollar and save some pounds? Anyone know what the deal is with the metro? I will probably be taking it every day and I want a good price. ANYTHING YOU KNOW ABOUT LONDON: post it here!
Once again I must ask if anyone wants to let me stay with them, or meet up with me during the period June 9-June 17. I am sort of in the wind for this period of time--I haven't booked any lodgings and don't really have any plans so any offers of hospitality or just entertainment would be AWESOME.
I'm going to see 28 Weeks Later tomorrow (it's about time!) and I'm sooooo excited!
