Please insert disk into drive [e:]
Don't feel completely guilty about not going to class today. I needed to sleep. And I needed to catch up. Feel slightly guilty about not doing any make-up work so far today.
The bulk of my day has been spent trying to make my DVD-R work. The stupid thing stopped recognizing disks in the middle of October. I've tried everything at least twice and nothing works! I don't know what I'm supposed to do. I guess I will call Sony, but I feel like they are going to tell me to do the things they already told me to do on their website and then be like "uh... we don't know what's wrong." I could try and take my computer to IT here at W&M, but that would involve a lot of unplugging and heavy lifting. Ew. Has anyone ever encountered this problem or have any computerly advice? My sister said to find a geek, but surprisingly I don't know any uber geeks who would be able to fix my computer or re-install the drive. SIGH.
What's really frustrating about the whole thing is that it WAS working perfectly and I was so used to having it to burn DVDs and CDs and now it's just NOT WORKING for NO REASON.
But oh well. I guess I'll just have to wander further into the maze that is technical support.
I miss my puppies. It's so much easier to deal with stress when you can get some puppy loving whenever you need it.
