you can't let me in your penthouse
Yesterday was fun adventure day with me + Nadir shattered_soul!
I went to school with the intention of skipping anthropology to keep him company. I knew he was still rather shaken about the accident. But then he said he was probably going home. And I asked if he wanted us to just skip the day and go off on an adventure. Thus it began.
Took the 24 bus down to Vizcaya station. Walked to the Museum of Science. Decided we'll go back once the Back In Time or whatever it was called exhibit is opened up. Should be lots of fun for only $8, especially if we spend the whole day there and stay till night time for everything else =) Then we walked back to the metro and took it to Government Center. I walked him through my old path to work, saw Rich from far away but I didn't stop. No point. We went to Pan Fiore's (my favourite overpriced place to eat Downtown) and had 2 pulcinellas and a petit chocolat. Fantastic. We walked to the little occult like shop that was by there. I bought myself To Ride A Silver Broomstick finally! I figured I rather give the shop owner my $15 than Barnes & Noble. She was an incredibly nice woman, too. She put free oils and cream on us too. We came out smelling faboo.
Took the metro back to Dadeland (let me ignore my frustration on this part). Then the Killian Kat back toward my house (ixnay on the added frustration of here). We wound up at the Hammocks. I was in a bad mood, mostly due to family issues. So we hung out in the parking lot for a while and then we hung out by the library. I bought on vhs for $1. Then his dad picked us up.
Watched Princess Mononoke and feasted at his house. It was nice. I even talked to his mom for a bit. I think she's starting to like me more. I'm a little uneasy of his dad though. I guess it's just a learning process. Get along with the future in-laws. Crazy. Anyhoo, then we looked through old photographs and yearbooks and the rest of his stuff. Played a few poker games (i SUCKED this time) and then played with pogs. After trying everyone and their momma for a ride home, I just decided it'd be best to stick with my brother. So he picked me up around 10:45 or so and I came home.
All in all it was a very pleasant day. We're probably going to the historial museum and maybe the art museum this Friday. Should be fun. Maybe we can go to Granny Feelgoods (another good Downtown food place) and back to that lady's store.
I've got school and work soon =*( -sigh- Maybe i'll get to hang out with Erik after. Would be nice.
